Job summary

St Monica Trust is seeking minibus drivers to support residents with shopping trips, day outings and outings for care home residents. The role involves ensuring vehicle safety, basic maintenance and seating adjustments to accommodate wheelchair users.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving license with D1 entitlement, be able to plan and organise trips, and communicate clearly in emergencies. Shifts are bank-based, typically weekdays 9am–4:30pm, paid at £13.64 per hour.

Qualifications

• You must hold a full UK driving license with D1 entitlement.
• Requires ability to assist with seating and secure wheelchairs, and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and emergency response abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive minibus to take residents on shopping trips and day trips.
• Assist with seating, wheelchair securing, and trip risk assessments.
• Support on-site concierge tasks when not driving and keep team informed of incidents.
