Job summary

Fairfields School in Northampton is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our community, caring for pupils aged 3–11 with special educational needs and sensory impairments. You will help pupils access learning in a nurturing, inclusive setting and work with supportive class teams.

We offer a thorough induction, specialist training, and a friendly environment where wellbeing is a top priority. The role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week during 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with SEND is helpful
• We are seeking someone who is creative, reliable, resilient and patient
• Good communication and ability to support independence are important

Responsibilities

• Greet and support pupils as they arrive and prepare them to learn
• Support individual needs and create engaging learning environments
• Join a collaborative team with induction, specialist training and supportive colleagues
