Radbrook Care Home is recruiting a friendly Kitchen Assistant (BANK) to support the Chef with meal preparation and service for residents at Radbrook Nursing Home, Shrewsbury.

You will help ensure meals meet dietary requirements and maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen in line with regulations and the home’s high standards.

This bank role offers flexible hours, induction and ongoing training, and the chance to develop in a caring, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health care setting is not essential.
• Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen environment
• Cleaning all crockery, cutlery and food preparation equipment
• Assist in preparation of meals for service
• Prepare food and ingredients for service
