Job summary

Amica Care Trust in Weymouth seeks a Bank Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and service in a care setting. The role offers flexible shifts to fit around commitments and the chance to build strong relationships within the team and with residents.

You will help ensure nutritional health, handle dietary needs, and contribute to maintaining clean, hygienic kitchen areas while working within our values and safeguarding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is beneficial though not essential.
• Food handling/food hygiene qualification desirable.
• You should have good judgement and problem solving abilities.
• Effective communicator, with a positive attitude and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' nutritional health and wellbeing is at the heart of everything you do.
• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, meeting dietary needs and texture-modified foods as directed.
• Maintain records and stock rotation; keep kitchen and service areas clean and hygienic at all times.
