Job summary

Clarence Park Care Home in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the kitchen team within a specialist complex care setting. You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness, follow food safety procedures and help deliver meals that meet residents\' dietary needs.

Deliveries, storage and kitchen organisation are part of the role. Experience in a kitchen is desirable but not essential; you will work as part of a team in a busy care environment and be committed to learning

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is desirable but not essential.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.
• Reliable, hardworking and positive approach.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal service.
• Maintain high cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Prepare meals meeting dietary needs, including modified diets.
• Assist with deliveries, storage and kitchen organisation.
• Support day-to-day kitchen operations and provide a positive dining experience for residents.
