Avery Healthcare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay. You will support food prep and keep the kitchen clean to ensure safe meal production for residents.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices (Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, COSHH).
• Capable of sustaining physical effort in a busy kitchen team.
• Demonstrates initiative and flexible team working.
• Cares for residents with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering function in food preparation.
• Maintain a clean kitchen environment for safe production of meals and beverages.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards to ensure high quality service.
• Assist with ordering and supply quality of items needed for tasks.
