Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant – Bank at Avery Park Care Home in Kettering. You’ll support the catering function, help with food preparation, and keep the kitchen hygienic to ensure high-quality meals for residents.

We value compassionate, professional team players who can handle a busy workload with initiative and care for residents. DBS disclosure will be required and Avery will meet the cost.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and high personal hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving/Handling, Fire Safety, COSHH.
• Efficient with the ability to manage a demanding workload.
• Proactive, flexible, and a team player.
• Caring and understanding attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Support catering and food preparation, maintain clean kitchen for safe meals.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in food handling.
• Assist with supply and ordering of replacement goods.
• Interact with residents and visitors respectfully.
