Job summary

The Willows Care Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, stock organisation and deliveries, while working with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely.

This hands-on role offers a consistent routine, opportunities to develop experience, and a welcoming, supportive work environment within a 31-bed care home dedicated to person-centred care.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation and maintain cleanliness across the kitchen.
• Help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation.
• Work closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running safely.
