Job summary

The Willows Care Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire, is part of Care Concern Group and seeks a Kitchen Assistant to help deliver high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You’ll support meal preparation, keep areas spotless and assist with deliveries and stock control, working with the Chef and wider team to ensure smooth daily operations.

This hands-on role offers a stable routine in a supportive kitchen environment, with opportunities to learn and progress within the care sector.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, reliable and conscientious
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meals to a high standard in a clean, safe kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation.
• Work closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely.
• Support with routine tasks and contribute to a positive, well organised kitchen environment.
