Job summary

The Willows Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Hinckley to support high-quality meals in a well-organised kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean, and help with deliveries and stock control, working closely with the Chef.

This hands-on role offers a consistent routine and opportunities to develop experience in a supportive environment. DBS clearance and uniform are provided, with benefits including pension and other welfare

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation and meal presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to ensure smooth, safe kitchen operations.
• Recognise and follow food safety procedures and guidelines.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.95- £13.45 per hour

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
