Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant for South Lodge Care Home in Leicester. You will help with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean, and ensure safe, high-quality meals for residents.

You will follow hygiene standards, assist with ordering supplies, and support a respectful environment for residents and visitors. DBS check and eligibility proof are required.

Formación

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Ability to work efficiently with high physical effort and adapt to a demanding workload.

Responsabilidades

• Support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for safe production of meals and beverages.
• Understand the principles of safe food handling to ensure high hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working, respond positively to colleagues, and action work instructions promptly.
• Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks and ensure timely ordering of replacements.
• Act with respect for residents and their visitors, protecting dignity and individuality.
