Job summary

Richmond Villages Painswick, part of Bupa, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs in preparing meals, keeping the kitchen clean and safe, and helping with daily operations. The role offers 40 hours per week with shifts from Monday, Thursday, Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 12-8pm, with a pay rate of £12.90 per hour and paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or kitchen is beneficial.
• Organized and adaptable, capable of working in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Preparing simple meals and ancillary items for service under the Chef.
• Washing dishes by hand or loading the dishwasher and storing clean items safely.
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to remove grease or spillage.
• Washing work tables, walls, kitchen equipment and appliances per cleaning schedules.
• Operating kitchen equipment and transferring between storage and work areas.
• Keeping the kitchen tidy and securely stored, removing rubbish and putting supplies away.
• Adhering to Food Safety and HACCP policies at all times.
