Job summary

Bridge Oak Care Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for permanent, part-time work (26.5 hours per week) at Meltham, Holmfirth. The role includes helping the Cook with meals, serving residents, and maintaining high kitchen standards. Salary is £13.45 per hour with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting is a bonus.
• Willingness to participate in staff and resident meetings.
• Ability to follow HACCP, Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with preparation of varied, nutritious meals.
• Assist with serving meals and respect residents' dietary needs and choices.
• Comply with HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health requirements.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy according to schedules and use correct cleaning products.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and report faults promptly.
• Receive and store new stock, rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Work as part of the team and participate in meetings and training.
