Job summary

Renaissance Care Limited is seeking a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our caring team at Benvie Care Home in Dundee. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals and support residents with dietary needs in a hospitality-focused environment.

Working 8.5–17 hours per week, you will maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene, assist with dining areas, and engage with residents to create a warm, supportive dining experience consistent with our care ethos.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Good eye for detail.
• Holds a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety regulations (COSHH/HACCP).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas; maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols across kitchen and dining areas.
• Engage with residents to support a hospitality-style dining experience.
