Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Bank team at Bourn View Care Home in Birmingham. You will support food preparation and maintain hygiene to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate; knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH is desirable. You will work flexibly to meet resident needs, show care and respect, and be part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Be able to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high hygiene.
• Demonstrate a caring and respectful attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Understand safe food handling to ensure high hygiene in all food preparation.
• Contribute actively to team working and respond promptly to instructions.
• Assist with ordering and ensuring quality of kitchen supplies.
