At Avery Healthcare Group, we are looking for a warm Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Elstree View Care Home in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. You’ll support the catering function, help with food preparation and keep the kitchen clean to ensure safe, high-quality meals for our residents.

You will hold Basic Food Hygiene and demonstrate good personal hygiene, teamwork, and a caring approach. DBS checks and UK eligibility are required, with training provided and DBS cost covered by Avery.

Qualifikationen

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and maintain high personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Efficient, able to handle a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a collaborative attitude.
• Caring and respectful approach to residents.

Aufgaben

• Support catering in food preparation and maintain a clean kitchen for safe meals.
• Follow safe food handling to high hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team, respond to instructions promptly.
• Advise on supply and quality, order replacements in a timely manner.
• Respect residents and their visitors, safeguarding dignity.
