Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming home for residents in Northampton. You will perform cleaning, laundry and other domestic tasks across the care home, upholding high standards of hygiene and respect for residents’ belongings.

The role is 35 hours per week with shifts from 8:00am to 2:00pm or 2:00pm to 8:00pm, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar housekeeping role preferred.
• Ability to clean to high standards and maintain hygiene.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, laundry and domestic tasks to maintain a safe, homely environment.
• Support residents' wellbeing through high standards of cleanliness.
• Work as part of a team and with independence as required.
