Job summary

Home Instead is seeking compassionate Care Professionals to join our Thornbury, Yate and Dursley teams, helping clients stay safely in their own homes. You’ll provide warm companionship, assist with daily tasks and health needs, and build trusted relationships with clients and families.

Our visits are never rushed, with at least one hour per call. We offer Care Skills Academy training, mentoring, and clear career progression in a role with flexible shifts and real community impact.

Qualifications

• Warm, empathetic and dependable individuals with a passion for helping others.
• Aged 18 or over.
• Driver with access to your own vehicle, as we cover a rural area.
• Regular availability covering mornings, lunchtimes, tea times or evenings; able to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Preparing meals and helping with daily routines.
• Assisting with medication and personal care.
• Supporting clients living with dementia or those recovering from a stroke.
• Assisting with clinical needs, such as changing compression stockings or supporting with catheter care.
