Job summary

Avon Search is recruiting a Community Care Assistant in Llandudno to support clients in their own homes, helping maintain independence with person-centred care. No prior care experience is required; we value compassion and reliability and provide full training and induction.

You will work shifts 7:30am–1:30pm or 4:00pm–9:00pm with guaranteed 30 hours per week, paid travel time and mileage, and a salary of £13.65–£14.65 per hour, with overtime at £18 per hour.

Qualifications

• You will have a caring, compassionate and patient nature.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities.
• Support with medication in line with care plans.
• Prepare meals and encourage nutrition and hydration.
• Undertake light household duties, including cleaning and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support clients to attend appointments and access their local community.
• Encourage independence and promote choice.
• Maintain accurate care records.
• Report changes in clients’ wellbeing to the senior team.
• Work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.
