Job summary

Bluebird Care Calderdale and Bradford is hiring a Home Care Assistant to support customers in Halifax and Brighouse. You will visit customers in their own homes, providing personal care, meals, medication support, light housework, and companionship.

Training will be provided, and pay is £13.00 per hour with 25p per mile; flexible shifts are available, including morning and evening slots. You don’t need previous care experience; what matters is a caring, reliable and compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and compassionate approach
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and comfortable working independently
• Willing to travel to clients' homes (driving licence required)

Responsibilities

• Visit customers in their own homes and provide support based on individual needs
• Assist with personal care such as washing and dressing
• Support with medication and meals
• Help with light housework and keep the home comfortable
• Provide companionship and maintain customer independence
• Follow care plans and keep accurate records
• Observe well-being and raise concerns when something isn't right
