Job summary

Bluebird Care Calderdale and Bradford is looking for Care Assistants to support customers in their own homes across Halifax and Brighouse. You will visit clients, provide support based on individual care plans, and receive full training.

No prior care experience is required; essential is a compassionate, reliable approach, good communication, and the ability to work independently. A full UK driving licence and access to your own car are required, with shifts 7am–2pm and 4pm–10pm.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence and access to own car.
• Applicants must have an existing and unrestricted right to work in the UK for this role.
• Caring, patient and compassionate approach required.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and comfortable working independently.
• Confidence to support people with personal care.
• Desire to help people live independently at home.
• Previous care experience welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers in their own homes and provide support based on individual care plans.
• Help with washing, dressing and other personal care.
• Support with medication.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition.
• Light housework, laundry and keeping the home comfortable.
• Provide companionship and a friendly face.
• Support customers to maintain independence.
• Follow care plans and keep accurate records.
• Get to know the people you support and notice changes.
