Job summary

Prestige Nursing and Care Coventry is seeking a Caring Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to clients in their own homes, following care plans and maintaining dignity and independence. You will work under supervision, respect confidentiality and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and wellbeing.

You'll be involved in personal care, daily living tasks, and coordination with health professionals, with training provided on moving and handling, MAR charts and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on own with minimum supervision.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Empathy and patient-centred approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding and adult & child protection.
• Respect for data protection and client confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in line with Prestige Nursing & Care's policies and procedures.
• Respect client confidentiality and uphold GDPR requirements.
• Respect client independence and promote choice and control.
• Follow the client’s care plan to maintain dignity and privacy.
• Support with daily living tasks in line with the plan.
• Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, feeding) following training.
• Apply moving and handling techniques per risk assessments and training.
• Complete MAR charts after competency assessment by Branch Nurse.
• Assist client to access community facilities and attend medical appointments as needed.
• Support client with managing finances as outlined in the care plan.
• Maintain up-to-date daily care logs per care plan.
• Report accidents, safeguarding concerns and any issues to the Branch.
• Engage in branch meetings and supervision and cooperate with investigations.
