Job summary

Guild Care in Worthing is hiring a Community Care Assistant to provide personal care and support to older people at home across Worthing and surrounding areas. You will help clients maintain independence and dignity with warmth and respect, contributing to their daily living, social connection, and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to travel between clients.
• A satisfactory DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support: Assist clients with personal care, ensuring hygiene and comfort.
• Practical Assistance: Support clients with meal preparation and domestic tasks, including shopping and medication collection.
• Promote Well-being: Encourage mental and physical activity to enhance quality of life.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain time sheets and care plans; report to Homecare Office as required.
• Training and development: Attend sessions and work towards QCF/NVQ Level 2 in care.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow Guild Care policies; wear uniform and ID.
