Job summary

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Health Care Support Worker (Band 2) to deliver holistic, patient-centred care under the direction of health care professionals. You will support the nursing team to ensure safe, effective care and uphold the Trust's values and confidentiality.

The role offers flexible working discussions, DBS checks, and the chance to contribute to a modern hospital project on the Steeton site.

Qualifications

• Possess or be willing to work towards the care certificate.
• Be able to demonstrate basic literacy and numeracy skills required for the post
• Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care
• Functional skills level 1 numeracy
• Functional skills level 1 literacy

Responsibilities

• Delivery of holistic, patient-centred care as planned by health care professionals.
• Support the nursing team in the delivery of patient care.
• Uphold Trust values and behaviours and protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain professional appearance and infection control policy.
• Work collaboratively to meet patients' needs and ensure dignity.
