Job summary

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients and carers, provide emotional support and clear communication.
• Document care and observations in line with Trust policies using EPR or PARIS.
• Promote safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with personal care (hygiene, bathing, toileting, dressing) respecting privacy and dignity.
• Support at mealtimes to ensure adequate nutrition and hydration.
• Mentor new Health Care Support Workers, aiding Care Certificate completion.
• Undertake and report clinical/therapeutic observations.
• Maintain a clean, safe ward environment, following infection control policies.
• Engage in mandatory training and personal development.
