East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Support Worker (Band 2) for Ward 11 Respiratory to join a busy, supportive team. The role involves high standards of patient care, confidentiality and teamwork, with duties spanning personal care, observations and liaison across multidisciplinary staff.

We offer full-time (37.5 hours) and part-time shifts across a 7-day rota and provide NHS training, DBS checks, and opportunities for career progression within the Trust.

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education.
• Care Certificate or working towards completion within 3 months.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (4/C or above) or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2 in direct care/customer services or equivalent.
• Be AWARE to care course or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Providing patients with food and drink and assisting where needed.
• Escorting and assisting patients in visiting the toilet, washing and getting dressed.
• Supporting wound and skin management.
• Recording and documenting patient observations (e.g. temperature).
• Recognising signs of deterioration and escalating promptly.
• Liaising with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, porters and social workers.
• Supporting ward routine including responding to visitor and patient needs.
