Job summary

Dignity Funeral Directors in Worcester is seeking casual Funeral Service Operatives to support ceremonies and behind-the-scenes tasks. The role is flexible and suitable for those looking to work occasionally, especially during peak periods or when extra ceremonial support is needed.

You will drive and operate hearses and other ceremonial vehicles, assist with venue setup, and provide compassionate, discreet support to families.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Physically capable of manual handling, including lifting and carrying.
• Compassionate, empathetic and professional.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible, including short-notice availability.

Responsibilities

• Assisting at funeral services: bearing coffins, setting up venues, and supporting mourners.
• Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines.
• Representing Dignity Funeral Directors with professionalism and empathy.
• Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day.
• Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct and service delivery.
