Job summary

Dignity Funeral Directors in Basingstoke is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team on a casual basis, supporting families during funeral services and behind the scenes. It’s flexible work you can build around other commitments.

Full training and uniform are provided. You’ll play a key role in delivering services with dignity and respect while maintaining professional standards and empathy for bereaved families.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Physically capable of manual handling, including lifting and carrying.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible, including short-notice availability.
• Comfortable with direct contact with the deceased.

Responsibilities

• Assisting at funeral services: bearing coffins, setting up venues, and supporting mourners.
• Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines.
• Representing Dignity Funeral Directors with professionalism and empathy.
• Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day.
• Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct and service delivery.
