Job summary

Dignity’s Wembley branch is seeking a Funeral Service Specialist to be the first point of contact for grieving families, providing reassurance and coordinating funeral arrangements with care and professionalism.

You will be based at the Wembley branch, supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards, and engaging with the local community while training in Funeral Conducting for peak times.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, care, or admin (training provided).
• Empathy, calmness and professionalism in emotionally sensitive situations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with ability to handle legal paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy and professionalism, ensuring details are accurate.
• Arrange funerals meeting family wishes and legal requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations including administration and presentation.
• Liaise with suppliers such as ministers, celebrants and florists.
• Lead chapel visits and assist with ceremonial duties as needed.
• Develop awareness of funeral plans and contribute to plan sales.
