Job summary

Life Services Group in Maidstone is seeking compassionate casual colleagues to support families during funeral services and behind the scenes. Flexible, occasional work with training and a uniform provided.

Role involves assisting at services, driving specialist vehicles, and delivering dignified, discreet support to families. Full UK driving licence is essential, with training offered and a range of employee benefits available.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence (essential).
Compassionate, empathetic and professional demeanor.
Understands presentation and discretion in a sensitive role.
Physically capable of manual handling, including lifting and carrying.
Reliable, punctual and flexible, including short-notice availability.
Comfortable with direct contact with the deceased.

Responsibilities

Assisting at funeral services: bearing coffins, setting up venues and supporting mourners.
Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines.
Representing Dignity Funeral Directors with professionalism and empathy.
Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day.
Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct and service delivery.
