Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a Bank Care Assistant/Driver to support residents across our English homes. You will accompany residents to appointments and essential journeys, while upholding dignity, independence and confidentiality.

The role involves assisting with personal care, mobility and daily living tasks, using the home’s car or minibus, with a strong emphasis on respect and safety. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK Driver’s Licence with Category D1 entitlement.
• Understanding of the needs of residents.
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
• QCF Diploma in Care Level 2 or equivalent (Desirable).
• Experience of providing care (Desirable).
• Experience of working with elders (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents to attend appointments and other essential journeys using the home's car or minibus.
• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• To assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.
