Job summary

Hill Care is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents in a care home setting. You will help with daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and participate in activities that enhance residents’ quality of life.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a genuine passion for caring for the elderly. Full training and support are provided within a respectful, people-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and POVA List checks where applicable.
• Relevant vocational qualification or ongoing training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of care, assisting with washing, toileting, dressing and daily living.
• Support physical, emotional and spiritual care while maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Assist those with limited mobility, using aids effectively.
• Monitor residents who are confused or display behavioural issues.
• Assist with continence and meal service; set tables and serve food.
• Keep written daily records per policy and participate in social activities.
