Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our care team. The role involves keeping the home clean and safe for service users and staff, following COSHH guidelines, and supporting daily housekeeping tasks across bedrooms and communal areas.

The position offers opportunities for apprenticeship pathways and development within a supportive social care setting. Applicants must be within commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Ability to manage pressure and prioritise tasks.
• Communicate effectively at all levels.
• Genuine interest in working in a social care environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Home’s Mission Statement at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of furniture, furnishings and fittings.
• Clean all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings.
• Clean carpets when necessary and manage waste disposal.
• Empty bins daily and ensure waste is disposed of safely.
• Clean internal windows monthly.
• Vacuum and clean bedrooms weekly; keep communal areas clean daily.
• Clean sinks, en-suites, bathrooms and toilets daily.
• Store chemicals per COSHH requirements.
• Re-stock paper products and dispensers.
