Job summary

PrimeLife Ltd in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Cook to join Riversway Nursing Home. The role involves preparing meals and beverages for residents with a range of needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met and dining experiences are dignified.

The successful candidate will have a caring nature, experience as a cook, and ideally a Food Hygiene/Catering qualification, though Prime Life offers training where needed. Regular shifts across seven days with great benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for residents.
• Experienced cook in a food service environment preferred.
• Food Hygiene and/or Catering qualification is advantageous, with training available by Prime Life.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents’ dietary requirements.
• Undertake quality checks on food prepared and stored.
• Plan menus in line with residents’ preferences and requirements.
• Assist with food service to provide a dignified dining experience for residents.
• Maintain stock records and food safety compliance.
• Order stock and keep accurate records.
• Keep kitchen hygienic and support with deep cleaning tasks.
