Job summary

Home care is seeking compassionate community carers to provide essential support to individuals in need. You will help with daily living, meals, mobility, and emotional support, both independently and as part of a team. This is a nationally applicable post with various shift patterns.

Pay starts at £12.71–£14.50 per hour, with options for full-time, part-time, temporary or zero-hours contracts. Experience is preferred but training will be provided, and driving is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with clients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Empathy, patience and a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to follow care plans and health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
• A valid driving license with access to a vehicle is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals).
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health/behaviour changes.
• Help with mobility and physical exercises to promote well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of care and report concerns to the team.
• Ensure a clean, safe living environment with light housekeeping.
• Engage clients in social activities and hobbies.
