Job summary

Advinia is seeking compassionate community carers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. You will help with daily living activities, provide companionship, monitor health, and promote safety and wellbeing in a professional team.

This nationally applicable post offers full-time, part-time, temporary, or zero-hours contracts with shifts including evenings and weekends. Pay ranges from £12.71 to £14.50 per hour, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential.
• Ability to follow care plans and health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
• A valid driving licence with access to a vehicle is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for changes in health or behaviour.
• Help with mobility and physical exercises to promote physical well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.
