Job summary

Hope House Children’s Hospices in Oswestry is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to provide holistic care for children and young people with complex conditions. Roles may be full-time or part-time, with twelve-and-a-half hour shifts, days and nights, and a competitive annual salary.

You will work closely with families, support medicines under RN supervision, and participate in activities to enhance the child’s quality of life. Excellent teamwork and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of care work, particularly with children or young people
• Strong communication and empathy to support families
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care to children and young people with complex needs in partnership with families
• Assist in medicines checks and administration under nurse supervision
• Support activities, play and learning to promote dignity and quality of life
