Job summary

Assisting Hands St George is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to provide practical support and meaningful companionship in clients’ own homes. Training is provided to help you succeed, whether you’re new or experienced in caregiving.

You’ll work flexible weekend hours with competitive pay, company support, and opportunities for ongoing training and growth within a caring team environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Responsible, mature, and dependable.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred — not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Documenting care using our AxisCare app.
• Following all safety and infection-control policies.
