Job summary

Lifeways Portsmouth is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help eight individuals with learning disabilities live independently in Paulsgrove. You’ll provide personal care, assist with daily tasks, encourage participation in activities, and support with meals, finances, and medications in a supportive home setting.

We offer thorough training, career progression, and a range of benefits including pension contributions and paid training days. A driver’s license is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and assisting with daily routines
• Helping with cooking, cleaning and medication management
• Assisting with finances and everyday tasks
• Using communication boards to connect and understand
• Encouraging hobbies, social outings and community activities
• Providing emotional support and enabling opportunities for independence
