Job summary

Voyage Care in Hull is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people gain more independence in daily life within a friendly residential service. You will work with a supportive team to provide practical care, encourage social activity and teach life skills.

No two days are the same here: you may accompany residents in local community activities, assist with personal care, and support evenings and weekends with flexible hours. A full UK driving licence is required and DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain independence in daily life and learn life skills.
• Assist with personal care and encourage access to local communities and activities.
• Engage residents in social activities, outings to bars, cinema, games.
• Work within a team to support a group of people and follow care plans.
• All applicants will be subject to DBS checks and references.
