Job summary

Voluntary Service Aberdeen (VSA) seeks motivated, compassionate individuals to join our team as Support/Care Workers for Broomhill Park and Cloverfield Grove Services in Aberdeen. This part-time permanent role covers both services and the community to support our care@home offerings.

27–28 hours per week with a 7-day rota including varied shifts. You will receive a competitive salary and benefits, extensive training, and opportunities for personal development within a supportive team dedicated

Qualifications

• Good communication with individuals.
• Ability to write short reports and keep clear records.
• Strong problem solving and organisational skills.
• Demonstrates empathy and care for others.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with individuals according to agreed standards.
• Access and update records in line with guidelines.
• Maintain a safe environment by following health, safety and security procedures, including medication tasks.
• Support service users with daily living and personal care, respecting dignity.
• Encourage development of social networks and independent living where appropriate.
• Assist in developing and reviewing personal care plans with service users.
• Support service users during significant life changes or loss.
• Engage in ongoing training and development to improve practice.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as required.
