Job summary

VSA in Aberdeen is seeking motivated and compassionate Support/Care Workers to join Crosby House. You will provide professional, caring services to service users, assisting with daily living and personal care while following VSA policies and regulatory requirements.

Join a long‑standing local charity offering competitive salary and benefits, with a 7‑day weekly rota and shifts including early/evening. Thorough UK procedures experience preferred, with SCQF Level 6 development supported.

Qualifications

• Applicants need to be fully experienced with UK procedures in Support Work within a residential setting.
• Willingness to undertake SCQF Level 6 (equivalent SVQ2) in Social Services and Healthcare if not held.

Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively with individuals and updating records as required.
• Maintaining a safe environment by following health, safety and security procedures, including medication handling.
• Supporting service users with daily living, personal care, dignity and respect.
• Helping service users develop social networks and independence where appropriate.
• Contributing to personal plans and participating in training and development activities.
• Carrying out additional reasonable tasks and supporting service quality improvements.
