Job summary

Lifeways Shepton Mallet is seeking a caring Support Worker to help eight individuals with learning disabilities live with dignity, joy and independence. You’ll support personal care, daily routines, cooking, cleaning, and medications, empowering residents to participate in activities they love.

We offer flexible hours (20-30 per week), day shifts, sleep-ins, and sessional/part-time options. The role includes encouraging hobbies and community outings, with a warm, supportive team behind you.

Qualifications

Compassionate and patient approach to care for adults with learning disabilities.
Able to communicate clearly and listen actively to individuals and colleagues.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a supportive team.
Commitment to dignity, independence and inclusive care.

Responsibilities

Supporting with personal care and daily routines
