Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking a Care and Support Worker in Wales to provide total care to residents according to care plans, offer emotional support, administer prescribed medication, and assist with daily living tasks.

This role requires DBS check; weekend work is included. The council offers generous annual leave up to 34 days, pension scheme, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• DBS check required; enhanced DBS will be carried out.
• Safeguarding knowledge and respectful treatment of residents.

Responsibilities

• providing total care to clients according to daily routine as outlined in care plans
• providing emotional support and reassurance to clients, particularly when they need to adjust to change/and or family crisis
• administering prescribed medication, including controlled drugs, in line with policy and procedure
• escorting clients out of the establishment, e.g. leisure trips
• completing daily records
• undertaking cleaning, laundry and dining room service
