Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (North Wales) is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team. Under supervision, you will assist with personal care, support patients, and help maintain dignity and safety while delivering high-quality care.

You will follow agreed care plans, communicate patient needs to registered professionals, help with mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and use of equipment, always upholding the Trust's values and policies.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care under supervision by a registered health care professional.
• Undertake personal care tasks as delegated in line with HEIW All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.
• Ensure the registered professional is updated on patient condition and progress.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and proper storage of stock items.
• Deliver care in line with Health Board values and the Code of Conduct for HCSWs in Wales.
• Follow care plans and provide information to monitor and amend care plans; obtain informed consent before care.
• Demonstrate care and compassion to patients, carers and relatives to ensure high-quality person-centered care.
• Provide personal care including assisting with shower/bath, hygiene, mobility aids, eating and drinking support.
• Ensure comfort, dignity, safety and empathy at all times.
