Job summary

CYGNET in Caterham is hiring a Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant for Tupwood Gate Nursing Home. You will work 22 hours per week, supporting the team to provide balanced, appetising meals and maintain high kitchen standards.

You’ll do basic prep, wash up, manage stock, and uphold COSHH and hygiene rules. Applicants should be passionate about care settings, a team player, and able to work independently under supervision. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably in a care setting.
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member.
• Polite & professional with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals.
• Carry out basic food preparation, cooking tasks and other kitchen duties.
• Wash utensils, manage stock and keep the kitchen clean and safe.
