Elizabeth Finn Homes Limited in Woodbridge is seeking a compassionate Housekeeping Assistant to help with daily cleaning of Grove Court Care Home, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents.

You will work alongside catering and care teams, following cleaning procedures and safety standards, and report any hazards promptly.

The role is part-time with 8-hour shifts, with weekend options, and offers a supportive environment and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Good general education.
• Basic Food Awareness Certificate or NVQ level 2 desirable.
• In good general health to meet the requirements of the role.
• Empathy with older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality cleaning across all areas of the Home, including bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices, corridors, windows and fixtures.
• Follow agreed cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross-infection and maintain a safe environment.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report faults or issues promptly.
• Take responsibility for Health & Safety and COSHH compliance, reporting hazards or concerns without delay.
• Work to schedules and time limits, support colleagues, attend training and report resident concerns to care staff.
