Qualifications

• Empathy with older people is essential.
• Good general education is desirable for the role.
• Willingness to work towards a Basic Food Awareness Certificate or NVQ level 2.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality cleaning across all areas, including bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices, corridors, windows, and fixtures.
• Follow agreed cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross-infection and maintain a safe environment.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
• Take responsibility for Health & Safety and COSHH compliance, reporting hazards, accidents, or concerns without delay.
• Work effectively to schedules and time limits, supporting colleagues, attending training/meetings, and reporting any resident concerns to care or nursing staff.
