Qualifications

• Experience preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently or in a team.
• Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous; training available.
• Experience in care home or healthcare environment beneficial but not essential.
• Willing to uphold the Christian ethos of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve nutritious, balanced meals considering dietary needs.
• Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
• Observe temperature controls during cooking and holding.
• Manage stock rotation and minimise waste.
• Keep kitchen records and documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
• Attend training and meetings.
• Support residents' quality of life and a positive home environment.
• Work as part of a team and undertake other duties.
• Full induction and ongoing training provided.
