Job summary

A Care Assistant position at South Lodge Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group, is an entry-level role focused on personal care, dignity and independence for residents. No prior experience is required as a full induction and training programme is provided.

You will work as part of a care team, deliver high standards of care, monitor wellbeing, and follow safe systems of work. DBS check and right to work in the UK are required to apply.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Initiative and a respectful manner towards residents and others in the home.
• Efficient working and the ability to carry out reasonable instructions from team members.
• Adaptable and flexible enough to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to keep services continuous.
• Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, supporting their independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection, and elevate them promptly.
• Follow safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
